collaboration presentation performance

A gaze behind the mirrors. The worlds of our subconscious in parallel, transitional spaces in which we move from day to day. The realms emerge in the large scaled oil paintings by german artist Corinne Wasmuht. Based on photographies taken by the artist and collaged to a greater totality.

Represented by KÖNIG GALERIE and by teaming up with Lala Berlin, this collaboration transfers Corinne Wasmuhts Work on to a new medium, creating a limited edition, inter-seasonal product that will be presented during the event.

Kiss me tonight

Spring 2018

Lala Berlin’s new Spring 18 collection is a sumptuous dive into sensuality and femininity. The city streetlights are aglow, pavements of gold extend through the darkness. Glittering neon rays glide across towering skyscrapers and black slick dancefloors transcend from the city night.

She is dripping in deep midnight and metallic hues. Shimmering liquid peony pink glistens on her lips and lacquered nails sparkle amidst a moonlit black canvas.

Lips touch as she spins through a thousand glittering lights, they engulf her in a shimmering sensation like kisses at midnight.

The company’s founder Leyla Piedayesh ‘kiss’ was the starting point for the collection, along with an exploration of her style that has inspired the brand for the last 10 years; it is a rapturous and definitive wardrobe for the Lala Girls step into all tomorrow parties.

The prints are a key focal point. Kisses are overprinted onto flowing metallic fil coupé fabrics, silk georgettes and crepe de Chine in hyper feminine silhouettes and definitive seasonal party dresses. Melange knit sweaters feature playful kiss intarsia and peony pink is worked effortlessly in cotton shirts and cargo pant garments combinations.

Kufiyah is reimagined in cute hand drawn scribbles and delicate little kisses, perfectly injected into easy-to-wear maxi t-shirts and fresh seasonal silhouette offerings.

Going deeper into the collection - surprise elements of exquisite golden metallic surfaces feature in astronautic proportioned sportwear inspired parka and utilitarian combat pants in soft faux leather;  whilst the knitwear features gorgeous fur-like lurex fringed jacket and jumper combination.

Classic jersey basics are reimagined with a new seasonal ‘Lala Berlin’ logo. Sporty t-shirts, sweaters and track pants, along with a covetable oversized hoody.

Brand identity explored through the reedition of the DNA suiting, outerwear and classic kufiyah knits; deep earthy metallic tailoring combines beautifully with lip embroidered white poplin in oversized shirts and luxurious intarsia fine knit cashmere sweaters. Metallic kufiyah jacquard knits make a reappearance in new playful dress shapes and classic styles with a twist.

The Lala girl is all dressed up and ready for the night.

 Fall/Winter 2016/2017

Designer Leyla Piedayesh has always been inspired by her oriental roots. Over the past years she has even made it her trademark. But this season, for the first time in the lala Berlin history, she has decided to also precede her love of architecture into the label’s new Spring/Summer 2016 collection. House facades, light reflections in windows as well as urban Boheme mixed with ethnical influences can be found within the prints, the materials as well as the innovative silhouettes of this collection.

The print-repertoire is focusing on graphic mashups, so called flower rain and twister, on the reinterpreted Kufiya print in floating movements as well as on floral maxi prints.

The quality of this year's collection spans from high-end and unprecedented fabrics and materials as the exciting mix of different qualities is one of lala Berlin’s biggest strength. Silk, perforated Cotton, Cotton-Silk, Crêpe-Satin, Jaquard, Lurex thread and the synergy of different surfaces can be found throughout the entire Spring/Summer 2016 collection, therefore ensuring effortless chic and sophisticated easiness.

The colour scheme of the collection ranges from typical black and white to dirty pastels such as sand to accent colours like Azur Blue, Curcuma and Lotus.

Some fashion classics have been reinterpreted by lala Berlin: This season the overall gets a sexy makeover. Furthermore, the collection is putting its focus on culottes, pinstripes and ethnic knitwear.

Oversized shapes and high-contrast materials can definitely be called the highlights of lala Berlin’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The harmonic colour world featuring beautiful summer vibes can only be described with one word: dreamy! The pleats, the see-through layering and the graphic cut-outs really do speak for themselves. Classic tailoring elements meet playful fine mesh details and urban boheme meets big city chic: Leyla Piedayesh and her team have indeed proven that opposites attract!

For the fifth time the cosmetic brand CATRICE is once again official make up partner of the lala Berlin Fashion Show. All models receive professionally-applied make-up using CATRICE products, perfectly complementing the styles they are showcasing. A light summer look with shine effects perfects the collection: a flamingo-coloured lipstick as well as summery accents on the lashes – the perfect summer style! The designer jewellery brand Stilnest is accessorising the collection with wonderful bangles.

With an intimate dinner during Berlin Fashion Week, Lala Berlin presented the latest Capsule Collection on January 19. "Midnight in Berlin" is the first evening gown collection, that was inspired by Walt Disney's Cinderella, says designer Leyla Piedayesh. "It is the classical metamorphosis from the Cinderella dress to the caftan like dresses, that represent the world of Lala Berlin". The collection is for a "playful and dreamy woman, that still likes clear lines."
