Getting ready for the Berlin Fashion Week!

by Rebecca Mir

Just a few more days and then the Berlin Fashion Week is finally here! I love this time of year when the German and international fashion scene gather and attract fashionistas from around the world. The upcoming trends are presented on the catwalks. It’s such a highlight that I already get to see the designer collections of the Spring/Summer season 2017.

I have been busy preparing for this for weeks because the Fashion Week is extremely hectic and one appointment chases the next. I don’t just have to make sure that my outfit is perfect, my make-up should be, too - no matter whether I’m sitting in the front row or attending another event.

For my make-up, I’ve decided to go for a natural daylook that doesn’t seem overloaded but still makes a clear statement with bright red lipstick.

Smooth even skin is the basis of my look. Instead of foundation, I use the Prime and Fine Anti-Shine Blur Stick: it makes fine pores disappear in a flash and conjures-up a matt complexion, even without an additional foundation. Next, I contour my cheekbones with the darker shade of the Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette 010 Ashy Radiance to give my face more depth. Then it’s time for the blush: I emphasize my cheeks with the bright colours of the Blush Artist Shading Palette 020 corALL I need. This ensures that my face still looks fresh after a stressful day.

There’s nothing better than a base to enhance your eye make-up! I love the Prime and Fine Brightening Eyeshadow Base: it intensifies the colour of the eyeshadow and makes my Deluxe Trio Eyeshadow 030 Rose Vintouch last longer. The three perfectly aligned shades have a high colour-dispersion, are easy to blend and really make my eyes look their best. To add a special touch, I accentuate the eyes with an expressive, matt eyeliner like the Smokey Matt Powder Liner 010 smokey black. Next, I apply a few coats of the black Lashes to kill Ultra Curl & Volume Mascara 10 to give my lashes a beautiful curl and lots of volume. Last but not least, I turn my lips into the eye-catcher of this look with the creamy, semi-matt Ultimate Stay lipstick in 100 Red Red Shine, which lasts all day.

To complement the overall look, I paint my nails with the rich berry shade of the Ultimate Nail Lacquer 94 It´s a Very Berry Bash.

My outfit for the Fashion Week: all in white! I combine these fashionable high-waist, flared trousers with a cropped halter neck top made of soft, flowing material. Sticking to just one colour underlines my natural make-up look and bright red lips perfectly!

There’s no way I can get through the #BFW without these essentials! I always bring my favourite products along in my fringe bag so that I can touch up my make-up in the taxi before the next show. In addition to my purse, I have another loyal companion: my smartphone. After all, I want to be able to capture all of the impressions of the shows!
