William Fan Make-up Fall & Winter 2018/19 by CATRICE

On Thursday, the 18th of January 2018, the designer William Fan presented his Fall & Winter Collection 2018/19 in the restaurant Ngon in the Rathausstraße as part of the BERLINER SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon). As the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the renowned Fashion Week event for the sixth time in a row, the models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee.

The extraordinary thing about the Beauty Look by William Fan this season: There are three different make up looks - inspired by the setting of the runway show, a Chinese restaurant. The story of William Fan's new collection is based on memories from his adolescence since his parents owned a Chinese restaurant at this time. The Beauty Looks reflect the diverse people that meet upon one another in a restaurant. During his teenage years in the late 1990's, many lived by the motto "more is more" - so the make-up team surrounding Loni Baur consciously created an "over the top" Beauty Look, especially for the third look.

Here are the step-by-step instructions for the third make-up of the show: 90's Chic Beauty Look

Step 1

The skin is contoured with the California In A Box Bronzer & Blush Palette 010.

Step 2

The eyebrows are defined and brought into shape.

Step 3

The nude and shimmer shades of the Professional Artist Eyeshadow Palette 010 are ideal for creating 90's style Smokey Eyes. The brown Kohl Kajal 140 and the grey  Kohl Kajal 070 provide the eye make-up with added depth and dimension.

Step 4

Generously apply mascara on the lashes.

Step 5

For a retro 90's look, the contours of the lips are emphasized with the Longlasting Lip Pencil 020 and filled in with the nude Velvet Matt Lip Cream 010.

Step 6

The nails are painted in a classic red with the ICONails Gel Lacquer 03.

William Fan Make-up Spring & Summer 2018 by CATRICE

On Thursday, the 6th of July 2017, the designer William Fan presented his Spring & Summer Collection 2018 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON on the terrace of the Kronprinzenpalais. For the fifth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon). Therefore, all models of the William Fan show were given a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products.

The extraordinary thing about the beauty look by William Fan this season: There are four different make up looks - inspired by the setting of the runway show: The story of William Fan’s new collection is based on memories from his adolescence and the late 1990’s. Teenagers often live by the mantra “more is more”- such as the visible hairline of the hair that has been dyed red. With these beauty looks, the CATRICE make-up team surrounding Loni Baur are bringing back the make up disasters of our youth: Too much gloss on the lips, flushed cheeks, coloured eyebrows.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:

Step 1

The eyelids, the nasal bridge and the cheekbone are accentuated with the Professional Make Up Techniques Face Palette 010 Volume One, the Million Styles Lip Topcoat 010 0 as well as the light pink nuance from the Ultimate Chrome Collection Eyeshadow Palette 010 Heights and Lights.

Step 2

The eyebrows are brushed into shape and a subtle coat of mascara is applied on the lashes.

Step 3

The Matt To Cheek Blush Stick 020 Peach Fiction ensures a healthy, fresh glow on the cheeks.

Step 4

The lips remain natural with a glossy touch thanks to the Volumizing Lip Booster in a wet look.

Step 5

For a light holographic glow on the nails, the Silk Matt Top Coat  is applied. Afterwards, one coat of the Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat is added to create the shiny Dewy Wet look on the nails.

Step 6

The Kohl Kajal 240 My Dream of Caribbean is applied on the inner part of the eyebrow and then gently removed again with a wet cleaning wipe. This way, only a little bit of colour from the eyeliner remains on the eyebrow hair.

William Fan Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE

Yesterday evening, on Thursday, the 19th of January 2017, the designer William Fan presented his Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the premises of the EMST Berlin | Ehemaliges Staatsratsgebäude (Former State Council Building). For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – therefore, all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee by William Fan.

The special thing about the look by William Fan this season: there are a total of three different make-up looks: the first look focuses on white eyeliner, which is incomplete on one side; the second look impresses with semi-painted lips in red and the third look shows just one eye with make-up, which stands out even more thanks to additional lashes. The idea behind the looks is based on the fast-paced world, which is symbolised by the bustling Chinatown in the show – everything has to get done quickly. Each individual look remains incomplete, which at the same time conveys the charm of a not quite perfect and therefore raw look.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the first make-up of the show:

Step 1

The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.

Step 2

The brows are brushed into shape and the lashes remain natural without mascara.

Step 3

Only the lower lip is painted in a matt red. A new shade is created by mixing the Longlasting Lip Pencil 130 Prince Cherry and the Velvet Matt Lip Cream 060 REDvolution Once the colour has been applied, the lower lip is additionally mattified with the Prime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof 010 Translucent matt.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the second make-up of the show:

Step 1

The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.

Step 2

For a complexion with a fresh touch, a small amount of the lipstick Ultimate Colour Lip Colour 370 In A Rosegarden is applied on the middle of each cheek.

Step 3

The brows are brushed into shape and the lashes remain natural without mascara.

Step 4

A fine, white line is applied on the right eye (the left eye when viewed from the front) with the Kohl Kajal 040 White, sweeping along the inner and outer edges of the upper lashline. The left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is kept subtle with just a short line along the outer, upper lashline.

Step 5

The Volumizing Lip Booster 010 is applied on the lower lip for a bold shine effect. The upper lip, on the other hand, is mattified.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the third make-up of the show:

Step 1

The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.

Step 2

Only the brow above the left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is filled in and brought into shape – with the help of the Eyebrow Stylist and the Eye Brow Set.

Step 3

Only the left eye is accentuated with a black eyeliner, which is swept along the upper lashline. The Liquid Gel Cushion Eye Liner 010 The Black Sheep is used for this.

Step 4

To make the eyes look larger, the left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is enhanced by applying false lashes such as the Couture Classical Volume Lashes on the upper lashline.

Step 5

The one-sided eye make-up is perfectly rounded off by applying a mixture of the Prêt-à-Lumière Longlasting Eyeshadow 030 Diner En Blanc and the Made To Stay Highlighter Pen 030 Eye Need! as a subtle highlight on the inner corner of the eye.

Step 6

The lips remain pure without lipstick.

William Fan Make-up Spring & Summer 2017 by CATRICE

At the premises of the Kronprinzenpalais, William Fan presented his Spring & Summer Collection 2017 as part of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon).

In collaboration with CATRICE, Loni Baur as Head of Make-up created an individual beauty look that tells a story: powered out yet at the same time still hot and flustered from a night at the club. The lady has just returned from Studio 54 and quickly removes her make-up before applying a soothing face care, remains of which are still visible as she slips into bed.

Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:

Step 1

For a pampered complexion that looks like the face has been freshly cleaned and covered in a nourishing cream, mix the Nude Illusion Make Up with a facial cream and apply.

Step 2

Create a rosy look similar to flushed cheeks after a night of dancing with the creamy colours of the Ultimate Colour Lip Colour 470 My Little Peony and the Supreme Fusion Lipcolour + Care 050 Bubble Plum. Mix the colours together and use a finger to apply directly beneath the eye and on the centre of the cheeks.

Step 3

Use the Eye Brow Stylist to subtly shape the arch of the brows.

Step 4

The Lash Curler gives the lashes a natural-looking curl.

Step 5

For individual accents reminiscent of the residues of a pampering cream or face mask, moisten the white, matt eyeshadow Absolute Eye Colour 660 Ice White Open with a little water and apply on the lids in a random, asymmetric manner using a finger or brush – if desired, the eyeshadow can also be used to accentuate the contours of the face.

Step 6

Give the fingernails an amazing shine with the clear nail polish Ultimate Nail Lacquer 104. The toenails reveal more colour after a night at the club, painted with the Ultimate Nail Lacquer 17 Caught On The Red Carpet.

Here is the step-by-step guide:

Step 1

First, cleanse the skin thoroughly and create a “flawless skin” look with the help of the Velvet Finish Foundation With Hyaluron .For a long-lasting matt effect, powder the face with the Nude Illusion Loose Powder.

Step 2

Trace a short line from the centre of the upper and lower lashlines outwards using the Eye Liner Pen 010 Black.

Step 3

Step 4

Next, apply a subtle coat of the Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara 010 Black on the false lashes.

Step 5

For shimmering highlights, apply the Pure Brilliants Colour Lip Balm 010 Sparkle Sparkle Little Star on the moveable part of the lid.

Step 6

Give the lips an elegant shine using the Pure Brilliants Colour Lip Balm 010 Sparkle Sparkle Little Star.

Step 7

The nails reflect the sparkling disco lights: first, paint your nails with a nude shade such as the CC Care & Conceal 06 Perfecting Pale Almond as a neutral base. Next, apply golden-shimmering, self-adhesive diamond shapes on the middle of the nails, aligning the tip with the front edge of each nail.
