I’VR Isabel Vollrath merges fashion and art. Dresses become sculptures and outfits resemble collages. Isabel Vollrath’s designs transcend clothing, each piece is spun with a golden wit.

Signature silhouettes are structural, abstract pieces that caress the female figure and express the designer’s fierce passion for extraordinary textures and high-end details, while displaying her strong background in bespoke tailoring. The Berlin designer’s narrative collections utilize unusual techniques and materials to tell rich stories, or communicate political statements.

Mosaics, embroidery, prints, and pleating are all employed to express her poetic vision.

As graduate of Berlin’s prestigious Weißensee School of Art, Isabel Vollrath received multiple national and international commendations and awards, including the Wilhelm Lorch Foundation award 2010, the Elsa-Neumann scholarship 2010, the Baltic Fashion Award for the “Best Innovative Visionary Concept” 2011, the Advancement Prize from the Berlin Chamber of Crafts 2012 and the International Talent Support Award in Trieste/Italy 2012.

Her varied background includes a stint as a gentlemen’s tailor in Baden-Baden and an internship with couturier Stefano Nicolao in Venice, as well as time at the Stieglitz Academy for Art and Design in St. Petersburg after winning the “Go-East-Scholarship” of the DAAD in 2009.

Isabel Vollrath’s border-crossing shows and presentations are regular fixtures of Berlin Fashion Week since 2009; her designs grace fashion events in Paris, New York, and Toronto. Her work has been exhibited in many showrooms and museums, including KunstHaus Wien, BMW Museum in Munich and Kulturforum in Berlin.

2015 she established her label I' VR ISABEL VOLLRATH.
