FASHION WEEK BEAUTY ESSENTIALS
Fashion Month is just about to start, kicking off with Berlin Fashion Week on Tuesday. I’m currently preparing all the schedules and Outfits for the next days but let’s not forget about another important thing: The right Make-up. As I’m usually super busy during these days, I tend to keep my make-up low maintenance. This is because a) I’m always running late and b) I prefer having a long breakfast to extra complicated make-up sessions. So today I’m going to share the 12 Beauty Essentials that I’m always carrying with me during Fashion Week:
1. ANTI SHINE PRIMER
The foundation of every great make-up is a well hydrated, shine-free skin. So my fashion week beauty regime starts with a face wash, followed by a pore refining primer like the Catrice Anti-Shine Base.
Feeling AND looking extra tired is part of the fashion week game BUT with the right concealer you can totally fight those Panda Eyes. I’m currently using the Catrice Liquid Camouflage to keep dark circles, redness and annoying spots in check. Definitely a handbag staple.
3. HIGH-COVERAGE FOUNDATION
Running around all day means you’ll need a trustworthy foundation that doesn’t fall off within minutes. In this case I’m using a high-coverage make-up, like the HD Liquid Coverage Foundation. It looks very natural (important!) and has a lightweight texture which gives me this no-makeup feel.
4. LONG-LASTING POWDER
Don’t ever underestimate the power of a translucent powder. It keeps your make-up at place and prevents shiny foreheads. Something we don’t want during Fashion Week… Or let’s say: never.
5. POWDER BRUSH
6. VOLUME MASCARA
Bambi Eyes – that’s where it’s at. The Eyes are the windows to our soul (pathetic but oh so true) so I love a bright eye with deep-black, long lashes. Create some extra volume by using the Catrice Glam & Doll Volume Mascara. It doesn’t flake under the eyes and has a long-lasting effect…
I always finish my make-up routine with a good dose of blush because a healthy glow is exactly what you need to disguise the lack of sleep… Apply the blush onto the apples of your cheek + a bit on the nose, chin and forehead. It instantly makes you look healthy and alive.
9. EYE SHADOW
Smokey Eyes, anyone?
10. NAIL LACQUER
You know me, I’m all for monochromes and subtle shade, even on my fingernails. Black, white or nude nailpolish are one of my beauty essentials when abroad. They go with every look without drawing too much attention.
11. OMBRE LIPSTICK
As much as I love a barely there make-up, I never say no to a pop of (lip) colour. Especially for Dinner Invites and Evening Events I like to wear r e d. For a modern upgrade I’m using the Catrice Ombré Two Tone Lipstick, which instantly adds a nice ombre effect to the lips.
