RIANNA + NINA is a Berlin based fashion brand, founded in April 2014 bei Rianna Kounou and Nina Kuhn.
Rianna was born in Athens, Greece. After her education as a costumer she could no longer resist following her biggest passion – vintage clothing. She opened her vintage store named 'Berlin' in 1987 in Athens. For almost 20 years Rianna was the face of high quality and rare vintage pieces in Greece. She worked with magazines, celebrities and surprised her clients with an amazing knowledge of fashion from past decades. In 2009 her adventurous heart made her move to Berlin with her son and husband to open her present vintage boutique 'Rianna in Berlin'.
Nina was born in a small town close to Frankfurt, Germany. Her first step into the Fashion world was becoming a trainee in a PR agency for the luxury industry working for clients like Etro and Cartier. While completing her Bachelors degree she continued to work in the in fashion industry in Munich, New York and Paris. Nina went to Milan to do her Masters degree in Fashion and Design Management at the Bocconi University. Her love for Berlin brought her to the city 2010, where she worked as the Head of Marketing and Communication at Galeries Lafayette. After four interesting years, she was ready for a new adventure.
Rianna and Nina met by chance at a vintage furniture fair where they quickly realized that they both share a passion for vintage fabric, vibrant prints, traveling and a positive way of livingIn April 2014 they opened their Cabinet de Curiosites 'RIANNA + NINA' in Berlin Mitte
The beginning of a colorful journey.
3 years later their colorful collection is available in the most luxury stores from Hongkong, New York to Los Angeles, Mykonos and Capri.
Every piece of their collection is one of a kind and handmade in Berlin and Athens of vintage fabric and vintage silk scarves. The two extraordinary ladies travel the world for the most exclusive treasures and use them for their luxurious Kimonos, Kaftans and dresses.
On July 5th, they will present their first ever collection with own prints at Der Berliner Mode Salon at Kronprinzenpalais Berlin.
